Sonic-Pi 2.0 is now released, and it is a huge improvement on version 1. If you have read my previous post, on a Beta version here you will know that it has many new features to offer. One of the criticisms of version 1 is that there was little documentation to help the new user to get going. That is now all changed with a detailed help system built in, with summaries of the language to drive Sonic Pi, and numerous example of how to use it. If you have not yet tried Sonic-Pi, then I would encourage you to do so. It is a super program, and opens up great possibilities for creative writing of music, whilst at the same time learning useful programming techniques.
Now that the program is released, I will start publishing some of the tunes that I have written for it (using a betas version), once I have made minor tweaks to accommodate changes that have taken place since the last beta.
